V.M.U catches up with NY based Kinetic!

VMU: Hey how are you?
KINETIC:
Great Thanks.

VMU: Could you tell us where you're from and who is the current line up?
KINETIC:

Kryss Reyes - lead vocals

Teresa Torres - lead guitars

The Double MG - Bass Guitars

JimiSlayer - Drums.

VMU: How did you guys get together?
KINETIC:
The Double tripped on a rock and fell on Teresa and Kryss and we picked the last man standing in a Slayer pit to play drums.

VMU: How many releases have you put out and who produced and where?
KINETIC:
Vision Circus, 2003 was recorded at Moon Studios with Henry Falco, Engineer. And we are working on one at this moment called "Blood & Chocolate" and currently working on .2...soon to be re-leased.

VMU: Were the songs recorded digital or analog? (if computer what programs)
KINETIC:
Digital.

VMU: What gear do you use live and in the studio? (in detail)
KINETIC:
Marshall, Line 6, Carvin, Kramer, Alhambra, Ibanez, Charvel/Jackson, Blue Steel, Ernie Ball, Martinez, LesPaul, Dean, DW, Clayton, Zildian.

VMU: You guys have a real melodic and emotional sound! Who are your musical influences?
KINETIC:

Teresa Torres - Everything under the sun, except country, old disco and elevator music, however, Black Sabbath was what led me to play music.

The Double - Tool, Sabbath, Tupac, Mozart, Clutch and Camel Cigarettes.

Kryss Reyes - Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, too great of a variety to speak about.

JimiSlayer - Rush, Primus, Voivod, Clutch, Mr. Bungle, Slayer.

VMU: How do you feel about the mainstream music scene here in the USA and over seas?
KINETIC:

Teresa: I feel it needs Kinetic to change it's direction.

The Double: The Scene? What Scene, there aint no scene, it's all the same...
The stripes...the this...the that...the shame of it all.
How 'bout "The Double?!"
Overseas: Ahhhhh...It's better, trust me. I've been there.

VMU: What do you express in your lyrics?
KINETIC:
God only knows.

VMU: (optional) What is your comment about the 2004 president election?
KINETIC:
NO COMMENT (for fear of FBI investigation)

VMU: How do you feel about other groups expressing their beliefs in music? (religious or politcal)
KINETIC:
Hell, we plan on doing it!

VMU: How often do you guys practice?
KINETIC:
About three or four times weekly. Sometimes weekend marathons.

VMU: Do you guys enjoy live or studio recording?
KINETIC:
Sure! The studio is best, but, we love playing live.

VMU: Do any of you own a home studio?
KINETIC:
The Double. Pro-Tools and Digital Orchestrator Pro.

VMU: What are in the works now? (new releases or tour)
KINETIC:
10 Track CD. Get Ready.

VMU: Any bad experiences playing live?
KINETIC:
Never during, but, perhaps after a show...
eg. Our singer thought he was superman and cracked his head on the ceiling as he flew down three flights...in turn, thus passing out.

VMU: What could you say to the struggling musicians today?
KINETIC:
Buy Kinetic CD's...and keep practicing!
You never know, it might work out.

VMU: Thanks so much for your time! Any last words?
KINETIC:
Thank you for the time and Publicity! We look forward to working with you again.
